Butterfly-y Goodness!!!
Aug. 7th, 2005 05:04 pmOk, I am exhausted BUT! I had to post this.
So, My mom came over to visit and we decided that it would be nice to go to the Zoo for a bit (BTW, Kenji, now that i have a job i can pay for the next Zoo Card renewal for us! ^-^ ) And after walking around for a bit I saw that they still have theyr Butterfly exibit!!!
And due to my spiffy Zoo card it is only $1 per person to see them ^-^ so me and mom went in to see the Butterflys, and, well all I can say is

WOW!!!!!
They are teh kewl!!!!!
it is this LARGE tent type enclosure with double sets of doors entering and exiting (to keep the butterflys from escapeing, PLEASE PLEASE NEVER open both doors at once O.< ) and there is one person outside the doors, one in the little space in the middle and one inside the exibit guarding the doors (and on the way out there is a 'butterfly inspector', she checks to make shure you don't have a 'hitchhiker' ^-^) and inside the exibit are thousands of different butterfly food plants and I SWEAR there were BILLIONS of butterflys
!!!! BILLIONS!!!! there were some REALLY cool blue ones that were BIG! (7-8 inch-ish wingspans) allmost as big as my hand!!! and they were SOOOO pretty!!!
But, yah, in short I HIGHLY reccomend you go se them, they are Uber Spiffy! But, ya only got till labor day though, they will be all gone after that because it gets too cold for the butterflys, they are seasonal after all!
